Zara AW12 People! Samples

One thing I love is checking my e-mail and finding Zara Newspaper in it. I must say that this one is by far my favourite, casual and elegant in one and it is exactly what I would wear in Autumn or winter.

Now listen carefully!....

Zara actually created a collaboration project which would like to collaborate with people interested in fashion (that's why it is called People!). And I am sure all of you reading this blog would like to collaborate and win a fantastic prize of 300€ to be spent in a Zara store. All you need to do is style a look that includes 2 autumn winter 2012 season's items from any Zara department. There is another possibility though! If you don't like to be on the picture you can also do a composition or a product photo that must include at least 1 item!

You have to register to PEOPLE! and upload photos from your own user account.

Every week they will choose a selection on photos and post them online. And they will of course contact you, if you win!

GET CREATIVE AND START STYLING!

#Grunge fever

Again and again she is like a muse to every person she meets and her style is like an extra touch to her personality and her appearance. She seems to amaze me every time I see her with something fresh. She said she got these items in London that is the centre of fashion which I love for its wonderful architecture, arts and a number of fashion designers that surprise every time with their creativity. And just people like her who introduce new fashion trends, statements and styles can broaden our minds and make us see that there are many ways to wear our clothing items.
This time she again styled olive with spikes and platform shoes that gave the whole outfit an edgy grunge look. The collar is also spiked, and you can get similar neck accessories (I don't know how this is called....some sort of a collar accessory) in the Ab Fab store on Mestni trg in the centre of Ljubljana. They are made by a brand called Neon Vintage Jewellery (beautiful and not overpriced!).

Anna Dello Russo at H&M

More than the LDR collection I like the Anna Dello Russo collaboration with H&M, which is concentrated on accessories only which make every outfit a statement. It is very glamorous, just like Dello Russo, coloured in gold, green, turquoise, orange and black. If you don't mind paying a lot of money the collection is going to be in selected stores (H&M in City Park)  from October 4th. Even though the editorial video was criticised at first the collection all in all is wonderful and gives a lot of attention to detail even though it was made for a commercial store. Plus, I would love to own the gold cat eye sunglasses that caught my attention in a split second.

Casual Friday

Maša featured again in the following post in a few days.

Nothing says casual more than a thick scarf that can really tie the whole look together and make an outfit that can be worn throughout the day and in the evening too (if the evening situation isn't really a formal kind of type). I love the scarf especially because I hate the stares of random people and it can cover my face when tied around your head correctly so I don't have to face those uncomfortable eye contacts. And an old denim jacket is a must, for the new ones just don't fit the same as old ones which have an amazing story and have been through so much, when worn by previous owners.

Fashionblogger.si event: We tried

It was the second Friday that I had spent in a mall called Citypark, because I attended a styling competition with huge rewards. I firstly thought I was aiming for the rich prize of 500€, that would be well spent on some clothes and a camera that would make my blogging a lot easier, but it turned out that I wasn't what they were looking for and I went "home" a round before the finals, even though I found the idea of working in their editorship a lot more appealing than the money. For those who don't know, the event was based on a group of inexperienced young people who were supposed to make a styling in a store that they chose for you on a certain topic that was almost impossible to find in the particular store. It was hard and I was nervous like hell and three cups of coffee I had drank before the competition didn't help at all.
Even though I didn't succeed, I met some amazing people, from bloggers to personal stylists in the making, that helped me get through the tension and the competitive atmosphere.

#Military Olive

I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I met her for coffee and she shocked me with her olive blouse with golden buttons that made her look gentle and soft in that positive business way just as she would have stopped in her "between meetings" break. However, when searching for the perfectly balanced outfit one must be careful that everything is not too clean and I like how she manages to accomplish that every time with pairing a lot of her outfits with these (not dr. Martens finally) boots. And the spike bracelet (probably not seen here) was a nice touch.
In general I could not dislike olive and military patterns more than I do, but still she owned the look and made me think about buying my self an olive shirt/jacket/pants and wearing them with pride, regardless of the fact that I do own a military shirt (original from the Slovenian army) which is drastically oversized and there for acceptable only for my less tolerant days. A great subtle way to make me change my opinion, because her styling sure looks great... And besides, how can a man say no to her eyes and amazing legs?

The "size 0 pressure"

Don't let the pressure make you a negative person. Be just the way you want to be, skinny or a bit bigger. Be the person you find is beautiful and approach it with a positive attitude. Don't take it as a "must", take it as a "want" and as a challenge to make the best you can make out of your self physically and mentally. Take small steps and don't be satisfied with just anything. Make goals and try to reach them without even considering of looking who is trying to crush you before you are moving them out of the way. Determination is the key. Make yourself what you want to be, not what you think others want you to look or be like. You can! Now repeat it!
